Default New Original Tune - Leaving

This tune materialized last week when I was messing around with my D45. As many of you know, I'm not exactly what one would call a "strummer" and I hardly ever play with a pick ... so this piece is pretty different for me.

Mike great vib on this one. I really like the chord voicings you used in the bridge section. Sweet guitar sound also this one sounds well broken in nice and dry.

Thanks DG. I've owned a busload of big guitars from the '40s, '50s, and '60s and this particular D45 is hands-down my favorite of the bunch. It's the only one that has survived my steel string culls.

I really like this song Mike. As mentioned by Gary, the chord voicings are great and I just love the way the song moves. You are such a versatile guitarist/musician, and this one takes it to an even higher level. And your Martin dread really sounds great.

Great job with the pick . . . love the tune, you're getting a really nice rhythm with the pick -- guitar sounds strong and full with the DADGAD and you recorded it very well.

(I hope you weren't bothering the others in the library with your playing.)

Mike,

Really nice right hand, hardly any pick noise, smooth and expressive. The D-45 sounds fantastic, that's what higher end Martins are all about, wonderful tone!!

Good stuff, Mike. I enjoyed it. The wall of books behind you makes for an excellent backdrop for solo acoustic playing.

Thanks for sharing.

Great composition Mike and perfect match for your D-45. I like that rollin', travelin feel; it complements the title. Your recording and playing sounds crisp and pleasing to listen to as always.
Your a fun and wonderful player Mike, keep sharin' buddy!

It's very good! Yep, your bridge is nice. Everything sounds wonderful. If you're not a picker, coulda fooled me!
