Default B is for Stephen (resonator) dedicated to Stephen Bennet

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNycyNmX_qM

This is an original of mine, dedicated to Stephen Bennet. Next to his excellent harp guitar music, Stephen is also a great player on his National resonator guitar. Despite the resonator and a slide, he manages to produce fingerstyle music that is different than pure blues. Not to say he can't play some good blues inspired stuff on his resonator... He can

I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for sharing - don't see very many resonator posts around here.

That was lovely Harald. So melodic and you played beautifully - I really liked it a lot. Stephen Bennett is one of my all time favorites for sure - he is bona fide Triple Threat.

Wow that was really fun to listen to. Love the sound of that resonator.

Very nice. I'm the proud owner of a new "Rogue" brass-bodied resonator and though I'm primarily interested in blues I can see the more melodic possibilities of the instrument.

Keep up the good pickin'!

Thanks for listening and commenting, folks! Much appreciated It's a Recording King resonator, lovely finish, allthough there are some inperfections. But then, it's a budget instrument. Most of the cheap resonators aren't too impressive in sound. This one surprised me, when I simply struck all strings. When I heard the price, the decision was made very fast. It's not a National, but defnitly on par with what I've heard from Republic resonators. Republic gets a bit closer to 'ye olde look' though. Here in Europe they would be more expensive too, though.

Very, very nice tune . . . The tone you're getting out of that resonator is beautiful and the balance between slide and fingers is right on the money . . .
