Default Walnut/Spruce 12 string?

Does anyone know how a walnut/spruce (either adirondack or sitka) would sound as a 12 string compared to a maple/spruce? I have not been able to find one and was curious about how they would sound.

A well-built one would sound lovely.

I am told Bob Taylor describes walnut as "rosewood on steroids".

My 12 is Italian over EIR, and if it went away and I didn't die defending it I wouldn't hesitate to have Harv make me one in walnut.

I played a walnut GA 6 string that (I think) had a cedar top. It was really, really nice. I was thinking it would've made a great 12er, but I don't think Taylor likes to use cedar for 12-string tops (a little bit soft for the tension, perhaps).

In any case, I think walnut with a sitka top would make a great 12. I haven't played the all-walnut Taylor 12s, but they are sure spectacular to look at.
