What a wonderful tune! Rick, I don't believe its possible to play cleaner than that.....just amazing! That wasn't standard tuning? How long did it take you to write this one? Thanks for sharing

Thanks curt. It was in DADGAD. I started putting the tune together a couple of weeks ago.

1:1 on all the preceding. Rhythmically interesting too. Love the hesitations. Would love to see an interpretive dance performed to this one. Great Job

Rick, great tune and professional sound. Sounds somehow "serious" and not like the usual dadgad tunes. The melody and rhythmic pattern go together very well. Cudos from Mainz! How did you record?

Really nice, great playing like always. Love that hypnotic "groove" that keeps coming back during the main part, the one you fade out with. How you build around something like that is inspiring.

Thanks for the comments guys.
Rolli, as far as the recording I used a spaced pair about 14" out. Chain was Gefell M295s to NPNG preamp
to Mytek Stereo 96 to Fireface 800 (purely as a router) to Windows XP and Ableton Live 7 - a little post
recording reverb.

Rick, I have to echo some of the previous comments, in that, I like the use of a hammer-on chord fragment as the foundation to this piece. It set up a really nice flow and theme to the song! I really like this one A LOT!! Very well arranged and played! I think it is CD ready!!

Thanks Bob. The open fifth slide is a recurring motif. The two open bass notes also create a fifth. That, the varying scale types and the changing meter in the first part of the song creates a somewhat mysterious and unsettled feeling, hence mists.
