Default Some Stanford PSD-10 "Hog" Strumming.......

and maybe a little flatpicking. I put some new medium strings and ebony MOP bridge pins on tonight. The strings are probably still too bright at the moment, but what the heck? The guitar should be in better playing hands to demo the tone of this (solid Sitka/Mahogany) Bluegrass dread anyways . Maybe I'll add another clip in a day or 2 for reference after they settle in.

BTW, there's one of these (used) for sale at the moment at a crazy price (definitely not mine ). Feel free to PM me for details.

Ryan,

It sounds very nice!

Not selling my Martins but I will never argue that these Stanfords are not excellent guitars for their price. Ebony (or Buffalo horn) are good pin choices to me with Hogs. How old is that guitar, new or broken in some?

Thanks Aaron and Rich!

This is an '06, Rich but it was bought new (NOS) less than a year ago by it's first owner. I've owned it 2 or 3 months and have played it occasionally so far. It was pretty open sounding when I got it. You have an excellent Martin collection. I wouldn't sell anything either .

Hey Ryan, that Stanford sounds great!

BTW - You've got to relax and spend more time on each tune...just as I get into what you are playing, you switch!!!

. Sorry about that Bob. Everything I do sounds so repetitious to me that I switch it up pretty quickly. Still sounds repetitious even so!

Thanks for watching .

Hey Ryan that Sanford sounds Great. Very rich and robust. I'm not familiar with the Sanford brand, but it sounds to me like you have yourself a keeper. I'm looking forward to hearing you play it more!

Really nioce sound, Ryan. The strings sound bright, but not too tinny or anything, thought it sounded pretty good like that. Very full sound.

I have to agree with Bob, though - I was kind of hoping that first song would go on, with some singing, too!

Thanks Steve. These are pretty rare birds in the US. One retailer had them for awhile but I don't think he's going to get any more after this. He has maybe 3 models left last I heard. Thanks for the comment. I'll see what I can do.

Thankyou, Shawlie.......
Haven't done any vocal recordings (covers etc...) in awhile now. I need to get back to the drawing board. Haven't been really that musically inspired in some time now, which would explain silly short guitar demos online . Thanks for listening.

Hey Ryan nice sounding dread. Im never a this part of the forum. I know that vid is doing nothing for that guitar from hearing your PSD28 vids and owning one. I'd say 60% of the tone comes through from the vid maybe less.

Thumbs up

I think you did a great job capturing the tone of that Stanford. Sounds really balanced to me.

Ryan, nice sounding Stanford and good picking. It doesn't sound repetitive to me at all.
Are these guitars made by Furch in eastern Europe or do I get them mixed up with Stonebridge guitars?
