Default Cargo and Rainsong Videos

I've been chatting with friends on the carbonguitarforum about pickguards, picked up a couple for my Cargo and Rainsong. Figured as long as I was sharing the vids with them, I'd bring them here too. Here you go!

Tony, really enjoyed the videos and your playing. Nice! Thanks for posting them.

I'm thinking of picking up a Cargo for the occasional times when I play out and need to go electric. I was impressed by the sound of yours in the video, especially the bass response which was remarkably full and deep (an important tone element for my tastes) for that size guitar. None of the shops anywhere near me carry CA Guitars so I'm looking for input from owners like yourself about them.

What do you see as the pros and cons?

Pros: carbon fiber, weather resistant, stays in tune, no worries about temperature or humidity; small, light weight, gig bag with backpack straps; undersaddle pickup, one control (volume); the cargo was plugged directly into the computer- no EQ, no reverb- what you heard is how it sounds;

Cons (maybe): short scale (which could be a pro too) so the strings are pretty slinky; the bulletproof top is just that, but it can make a skritchy noise with picks and fingers- they now have a gloss finish available (for extra $$); the small body makes it hard (for me) to sit it on my R leg, so I always play it using a strap;

I love mine, and I tried some parlors and babys, etc. and nothing else compares- the cargo has a big tone from a small box; I've played other CA's and like the 5i and 7i; but the compact size of the cargo makes it a keeper- for both serious playing, and for travel.
