Default New Taylor Semi-Hollowbody T3

I picked up a copy of the new Wood & Steel today showing/featuring the new Taylor T3 semi-hollowbody electric with Bigsby tremolo. http://www.taylorguitars.com/news/co...inter_2009.pdf Am I really breaking this story on AGF or did I already miss the big news?

We've had at least two threads on the T3, but they're way down the list.
I can't wait to get my W&S and check the guitar out.

The new Wood & Steel is on the Taylor website to download. The T3 looks cool!

Ooo, that's pretty neat.

I'm still waiting for Taylor to release their electric archtop.

I remember the chant: "archtop, archtop, archtop" :-) I always did think that was very cool!

I can't seem to locate the T3 demo videos on the Taylor website. I guess they are not up yet?

Ha, ha...yes. That was my attempt to subliminally influence Bob, when he used to frequent the forum. Thanks for remembering!

As for the T3, I can't wait to try one out.

Me too -- if it plays anything like a T5, it should be a nice instrument.

T5 v. T3? What's the DIfference? Can't you do with the T5 what you could do with a T3?

The T5 has the body sensor and the five-way pickup.
The T3 has humbuckers and a three-way pickup.
Also, the T3 has a solid block of wood under the middle of the top.

I just received my W&S from Taylor. The T3 sounds like it's going to be great. A buddy of mine is headed to the NAMM show next week. He's going to check it out and get back to me. He's not going to feed me any BS hype about the T3. He's a great player and honest to a fault.s

One thing I know I'm going to like are the larger frets on a T5 neck. That's the one thing I've said since buying my T5, I wish it had larger frets.

I also couldn't find the demo video that W&S said was on the Taylor Website. I bet it shows up after NAMM

Default Not so new anymore but...

who ended up buying one of these?
I don't see too many of them "used" on the market.
Overpriced?

I doubt they're overpriced, but I think they're more tailored (no pun intended ) to a specific customer, even more so than a T5. Taylor obviously saw a market for the T3 that needed filling or improving, but the guitars don't appeal to as many people as their acoustic lines.
