Default What was your CB handle?

Transistors and CB's were popular back the good old days. CB handles were considered cool. Since this area of the USA is under a blizzard watch, I am reminded of the days when some of us leaned on CB's.

What was your CB handle? Better yet, tell me why? Did someone give it to you or did you make it up yourself?

C'mon. Choke it up. Do tell. This ought to be interesting.

I think i'm too young, so i've never had one. My dad was a trucker for a while and had the handle "Chopsticks"... so I guess i'd be "Chopsticks Jr."

I've been jyee on most internet forums and early dial-in BBS systems for over 15 years... so i guess that'd be my other handle.

Was once heavy into CB, and have talked all over the world with one.
My handle was Animal. The kids gave it to me from watching too many episodes of the Muppet Show.

And NO, I was not a drummer.

Good one Mary! Well my handle was "Washboard Wiggle". Long story short: I entered many Bluegrass contest under misc. instruments back in the CB days. The song I always did was "Washboard Wiggle".

What a blast from the past. I remember buying my "state of the art" Cobra 29 Channel CB Radio with SSB (Single Side Band). I even had the PA system on the CB radio hooked up to my stereo (8 Track Tape Player), so I could listen to Allman Brothers, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and Grand Funk Railroad real loud at outdoor parties!

Oh, and my CB handle when I lived in Montana... "Frozen Rocker" but the other CB'ers that knew me, shortened my call sign to "Rocker".

Time to go 10-100!

CB 10 Code

Later!

This is funny. I adopted "Indiana Kid" whenever I would visit my aunt and uncle "Pinbuster" and "Lady Pinbuster" down in eastern Kentucky. Mid 70's. I can still remember his call letters KGAK0728, we're clear!

I was in to CB's back in the mid 70's along with alot of my buddies. I had one buddy that I did alot of motocrossing with move away for several years and we accidentally got reacquainted several years later over the CB not knowing who the other was for several months when he moved back to the area. Pretty wild when we found out that we knew each other from years earlier. I had a Cobra Cam 89 base station with a DL-104 mic and a huge CLR2 antennae. Had a Cobra 29 in my car. Those were fun days.
