I'm no guitar guy but can't you stuff the crack with wood glue and clamp down on it?

Default Luthier?

I've had good luck dealing with Jim Benson (716 876-2405). He's busy, but he does quality work. EZ

They did a neck reset for me on a vintage Martin. Great Job. Pretty sure they have a web site, too.

If you're willing to drive down the Thruway a bit, I heartily recommend Dave Stutzman (Stutzman's Guitar Center, Ridge Rd. in Rochester) NOT to be confused with the "Guitar Center" chain stores. Dave and his business partner built "American Acoustech" guitars, but had to close the business (timing was lousy-just after 9/11--a bad time to start a new guitar line).

Dave is an authorized Martin, Taylor, Santa Cruz, Rainsong seller and is an actual luthier.

Try Jim Holler at Trinity Guitars. I don;t know if he does repairs, but he builds guitars.

Yep--and it's 5 minutes from my driveway to his! Jim is a great guy--and the work he does is meticulous. He's worked on my Taylor 855 (new compensated bone saddle), and my Omega (with Kevin Gallagher's blessings!) to install a Baggs I-Beam. I also get supplies from him whenever. It's a bit farther south from Buffalo to Jamestown, than from Buffalo to Rochester though. You can contact Jim here: http://trinityguitars.com
