Default Today's doodle is in EBEGAD

Just got the Jan 2008 Acoustic Guitar and the "Private Lesson" is given by Peter Finger whose favorite tuning is EBEGAD. So naturally I had to try it out immediately before I even read the rest of the article, LOL. Here is my doodle for today:

You get extra bonus points for guessing which guitar I used to record it.

I'll jump in first and say it's the Seagull. Sounds cedar-y to me.

No, it isn't the Seagull

Barry, are you not going to tell us what it is? I thought it was the Seagull too but if it's not, then my second guess would be the Guild. It sounds great.... very haunting and pensive.

Thanks! It was the Washburn D-10S. I'm trying to expand this doodle into something a bit more. It may not have a coherent melody throughout, but it'll be fun to work on.

Have to say I like that little noodle. SOunds like the kind of thing that would get my muse moving.

I could probably use another tuning. I do standard, (and standard down a whole step, and a little dropped D), and DADGAD a bunch. But I'm feeling a little stale in all of them. I tried one of those "C" tunings and that didn't do anything for me. But I like the mysterious sound of your EBEGAD thing.

Thanks.

Thanks Marshall. Here's a link to Don Ross' tuning page - in case you want to try out a few different ones.
