Can any one tell me how good the Guild D-15 is and about what would one be worth in good condition? Thanks

I have a DM-15. It's all mahogany, bone nut and saddle. I'm reasonable certain it was made in the early 80's. I don't know for sure how much it is work but it's a wonderful guitar. I've been offered over xxx for mine but then again, it is near mint condition. Do you have one? Are you interested in selling yours? Do you like yours. Do you have a picture?

I believe the D-15 was first made in '83. Solid hog top, laminated hog back.
Guilds are terrific guitars and worth more money to the owner/player than they paid, IMO.

I am in the market to buy a Guild D15. Do you know of anyone selling theirs?

The Guild D15 is somewhat hard to find. I had a D15M for a while. Bought it used, the saddle was low and I feared getting involved with a neck reset so I sold it. Now I regret that sale. Here are some photographs. Good luck. By the way I paid $500 for the guitar and a Guild Arch-top (original) case. i sold it for the same.

I bought one new back in 88. I kept it for three years. I was a Guild fan before that, having previously owned a D-25 M and a G-37. That D-15, soured me on Guilds for good. Just dead sounding. I have heard some great Guilds but that wasn't one of them. I didn't know very much about guitars back then and I was a victim of the chain music store, tune it down and focus all their attention on the "easy action" sales pitch. I'm figuring that they knew it was a turkey and were looking for a sucker. I didn't know how bad it was because nine years before, I sold my steel string and after a couple more years, bought a cheap Yamaha classical, to noodle around on, then gave that away, being guitarless for several more years. I was ripe for the picking as they used to say. Perhaps that Guild was an anomaly and I suspect it was.
