Why so few non-electric x10s?
After the 210 you have to go up to the 800 series to get a non electric. Why is that? Is it because of the DN series. I'm a little confused on the available models. From the website the 310 through the 710 only come in CE.

Taylor has revised the model line-up into two groups: Acoustic and Acoustic / Electric. The short version is if you want a cutaway and electronics, you have to order from the A/E group (X10 series). If you want a cutaway and no electronics, you order from the A/E group. If you want no cutaway with or without electronics, you order from the Acoustic Group. The DN models are now the acoustic dreads in the line-up. The model designations are now DN numbers, with the older model designation in parenthesis. DN-3 (310) DN-4(410) DN-5 (510), etc. Hope this helps!

I see. Although, there is a DN8 and an 810. And there is no DN6 or 7. I'll catch on eventually

The 810 & 910 were "grandfathered" in because of the long term popularity of those specific models - acoustic dreads with fancy inlays. I guess Taylor figured an all acoustic Maple dread was not a big seller in the past, so they make it available as more of a stage & recording guitar in the A/E series. Since all the Acoustic series guitars have the same appointments, the DN7 was too much like the DN8, so it was expendable as well.
