Here is one of my favorite guitars that I am deciding to put up for sale as I am reducing my collection of acoustic guitars. I bought this is 2009 and have played it steadily over the years as many other Collings OM guitars have come and gone.

Specs: 25.5” scale; 1 3/4 inch nut width; 2 3/16” string spacing.

German Spruce top that is well broken in with all the playing I have done however my light touch has barely created any wear to the frets. Condition wise: The top has a few dings which I was unable to capture in photos however the rest of the guitar looks pristine.

The head stock has a Brazilian overlay which is very cool in my opinion. The guitar never had a pick guard as it was ordered without one and the original owner probably requested a top that was conducive to finger style based on how it sounds. The playability is excellent as I did have it set up just one time back in 2009 and have not touched the guitar to do anything else except change strings.

I've added two pics that show the action of the guitar at the 12th fret, the first one shows the height of about .095" on the low E side of the guitar to at .060" on the high E side of the guitar. I deem this to be within .005" + or - accuracy because depending on how you hold the camera, you can get a different reading. I tried to keep it parallel with the fretboard when taking the picture.

Comes with a Collings branded TKL case and FWI bridge pins however the guitar can be sold with the original black bridge pins if requested at a lower price. Asking $4,250 plus shipping from 60120.

Just wondering if there is a serial number, is it common for Collings not to write the serial number on the sticker?

The serial number on a Collings is stamped into the neck block. It is never written on the label.

Warren, won’t be back in town till Saturday but will give you that spec once I get home. I can say that the playability is excellent and comparable to any Collings OM style guitar and I’ve had better than a half dozen to compare with. This guitar was kept while the others were all sold. Only selling because it’s time to release some of my “keepers” as I par down my collection.
