SOLD: Brazilian Golden Age Taylor (812c w/Brazilian)-Rare, PRISTINE & Collectable
Brazilian Golden Age Taylor 812c w/Brazilian-Rare, PRISTINE & Collectable
From my "stash collection"...Anyone interested in a pristine Brazilian Golden age Taylor? Those who "know" will tell you that these pre-NT necks are SOOO much better than the recent stuff. In fact, these guitars are not only desirable but also collectable. I bought this one quite a while back with the idea of keeping it forever. But tight money conditions have unfortunately left me as a seller of this great guitar. This one was owned by a collector, and looks like it has never been played. Certainly it has been played because I HAVE played it on a number of occasions...always in my home and always treating it with "kid gloves". Frankly, I can't find a mark on it anywhere, and it looks like it just came off of the builder's bench. This one has master grade sitka spruce paired with Brazilian Rosewood. Certainly it is a beauty. This guitar is gonna be a great plus in any collection, and it will only go up in value. Some key "particulars" about this one: Build date 1996 1.75 nut width 25.4 scale length Very rare Taylor 812C in pristine condition Sitka spruce top (master grade) paired with Brazilian rosewood back and sides Little to no playwear Action set up low for fingerstyle Upgraded bone saddle and nut Upgraded locking Gotoh Tuners Gorgeous hard shell "leather look" Taylor original case. This guitar will be sold with the original ebony bridge pins. The original tuners, nut and saddle will also be in the case compartment. If you want the fossilized Walrus pins shown in the pictures, they are a $200 addition. Price: ONLY SOLD plus shipping and Paypal. I'm open to reasonable all cash offers and some trades plus cash.

This will smoke ANY new Taylor...
These late 90s Taylors are soooo nice.
I have had a bunch but never in BRW! Incredibly rare to find in such pristine condition. Not even a strap button at the neck heel. No electronics either Is the case the vintage "Pink Poodle"? If so it is worth some moolah too And of course you can not go wrong with Mike as a seller! I predict someone will be thrilled, and I predict this will go quick too!!! Cheers and stay safe Paul

Thank you! I agree. It really nice Brazilian, and the woods have opened up and make this sound SOOO much bigger.

Tell me where you can find a collectable Brazilian guitar in this condition with Brazilian Rosewood for this price?? Someone will love this guitar and will be shocked at how it looks like it just came off the builder's bench.

WOW Mike, this is one of the most beautiful BR sets I have ever seen! I can only imagine the sweet sound of this beauty, not to mention the fact that the early, now very collectable, Taylors, are amongst the best guitars ever built.
At this price it will not last long. GLWS.

I own two Brazilian Taylors from the 1990s that are exceptional I’m every way. But neither of them have a Braz set like this one. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a very special guitar.
Mike is as good a guy as you will find so deal in compete confidence. |

I've had some interest on this one, but still for sale. Given my desire to get some cash flow, any reasonable offer will be strongly considered. If you're thinking on this one, talk to me. Make and offer...I'm all ears!! You will not be disappointed!

Gorgeous guitar! The woods on this are just incredible, never seen such straight, lovely Brazilian. Seller's stellar too.
Great opportunity for the "pinnacle" of golden age Taylor instruments! |

Any more thoughts about possible trade interest? I assume something that will still put cash on the table for you? Examples of what you may be interested in?

Hi Richard! Thanks for the question! I'm reasonably open minded, I just prefer smaller body guitars over dreds. Certainly would consider just about anything because I can always re-sell the trade if it doesn't grab me. And yes would prefer a cash addition as that is a key objective. So just tell me what you've got and certainly I'll consider it. Thx!
