Right after despair, I think there's hopelessness--sometimes called utter despair,this is the stage at which you realize that your dreams may never come true.

Now is when you have to really buck up. Back on the ranch, you had to buck up after you got bucked off a horse. Also, if riding bucking horses, you almost always want to stay on top of it all.

AND SO, I say unto you, BUCK UP! We're with you, feeling your pain, and having a heck of good time at your discomfort.

Wow! A "bonus" tracking report?? I got nada from USPS once mine were in their possession, but both guitars arrived fast after they left Heathrow.

Any moment now! Excited for you!

Yes, that’s exactly what happened. I have no idea why but it seems that there’s a handoff black hole from the UK to the US.

Thanks Captain Jim! I’m taking my daughter with me to Munich shortly so the weekend wait for my guitar won’t be as bad. Cheers!

AcWild;

I've heard that New York is the hardest state to get through--all those darned people. Sometimes takes a year to get a birthday card from one side to the other. And then all those people going postal. And strikes. Heat waves. And so forth.

But I'm sure you'll get it, eventually.

By the way, when you buck-up, you're also supposed to hang on.

acwild, don't listen to Evan - "bucking up" and "hanging on" are what you did during the months before your guitar left Ireland. Now is the time for hand-wringing, pacing, and if you're up for it: driving around the neighborhood to find and peer in the back of the mail carrier's vehicle to see if there is a guitar-size package in there.

Wait! What? Your guitar will probably show up today, and you've gone to Munich? As in: Germany?? So your guitar will be sitting on your porch, waiting for you? I can just hear that guitar now: "I wonder if he'll ever show up? Not sure I can take much more of this wait!"

Guitars are like that. And, yes, Evan is evil. In an adorable sorta way. But on the bright side: he makes the rest of us seem sweet. And young(ish).

I have a new theory about this:

Somewhere in small, dark basement Customs building in New York there's a small gathering of Customs employees who also happen to be guitar enthusiasts. They keep a keen eye out for anything coming through with 'Emerald' on the box. They select those and bring them to this room for a Customs 'inspection'.

They open the box and if it's a beautiful custom woody, they 'ooo' and 'ahh' and then pass it around and take turns playing it. After a week or so (sooner if another Emerald woody comes through) they buegrudeoningly box it back up and release it to the USPS where it shows back up on the super-wonderful-high-tech-accurate USPS tracking system and is then delivered the appropriate time based on location later.

Think about it. If YOU were a Customs Inspector and saw a box with Emerald on it, what would YOU do?!?

So your guitar will be sitting on the porch. And what exactly is your address?
