Here's our favorite one that we regularly perform, the duo he did with Iris Dement, 'In Spite Of Ourselves':

Good one Methos1979. Here’s another that’s a lot of fun to play.

Love me some John Prine... what a genuine treasure he was!

I used to play this all the time back in the day... definitely one for parties and campfires...

Here’s a song ABOUT John Prine. I hope that’s okay. I wrote it after I heard about his death last spring. I think he would have appreciated it. It’s called “John Prine Moves to the Great Southwest For Reasons Related to His Health.”

Nicely done. I’be always thought of John as the best friend that I never met.

Lotta great takes here so far, but I really love this original tribute. Having moved to Arizona with my folks when I was a kid (for reasons of health - not Prince's nor mine!), I found it doubly enjoyable.

If you ever wrote down the chords and lyrics to that, I'd love to get a copy!

Here's one of the only John Price songs I used to sing in my youth. It's lost basically all relevance, since it's mostly legal or partly legal pretty much everywhere now, and probably not many people today know who Judge Hoffman was. I'd played with the lyrics a bit once a long while ago - I'd made it a now-legal smile, it costs quite a bit, and the judges name was Ito. But it never really worked. So I'll just do it the way he wrote it as a nice memory of the song it was back in the day.

So many choices…

When I learned he had it, this lyric rushed to mind for sure: “Wait awhile, Eternity…”

One of my favorite JP songs is “Paradise” — I recorded this cover a while back, and I thought I’d post again for this thread! [emoji4]

Your lovely version, posted back in the tribute thread, was the one that made me go learn the song. Not sure why it says invalid in your post - maybe you made it "private" instead of public?

Clay Pigeons,
This is actually a Blaze Foley song but John covered it too. This is the John Prine version.
