Not a band, but an artist--I just can't get into Tommy Emmanuel.

I can appreciate how good of a player he is, but the music just doesn't isn't my bag.
No, I hear ya, that makes perfect sense. I've never been tempted to search for him on Spotify and just listen. It's more of a show or an exhibition generally. Phenomenal player and entertainer, but it's not like he has any...songs...I'd know, mostly I've seen wildly technical covers. That's fine, but not my bag either.

Probably not popular choices, but I guess that is the point here:

Billy Joel
Bruce Springsteen
Dave Matthews

100%. Always a skip if they come up on a playlist. They just do nothing for me. I appreciate Keith's guitar skills and his appreciation for the history, but that's about it. Just feels tired to me.

Journey and The Eagles. I like some Eagles songs but I watched a documentary on the band that was, I suppose, made to endear them to a new fan base about the time they started on their first reunion tour. But it had just the opposite effect on me; it took me from someone mildly enjoying some of their tunes I happened to hear, to turning off whatever device one of their songs starts to play from because it only reminds me of what insufferable jerks they are.

Springsteen
Dylan
Neil Young
Greenday

Any kind of techno, heck no.
Rap, reggae, not for me.
Most country, especially the new rap/country crap.

I would add that sometimes it feels like I could just list everything my wife likes listening to.

wait -- Rush an 80s Hair Band? uhm no.. hardly..
I get that a lot of people don't like em tho.
But, not me, I love em!

Anyways..
The first band that came into my head when I read this was
Rolling Stones

just no, nothing there for me.

The next name that followed (in my head) was.
The Beatles

there I said it. They just never did it for me, maybe I'm amazed, that people are still as worked up over them as they obviously are. Me, nope.. nuthin there.

okay.. now that I've dropped that nuke,
....I'll show myself out of this discussion.

If a band or artist has appeared more than once on Billboard's Top 100 list, I probably don't like them.

You can't drop a nuke and not stick around for the fallout!

I can get why people don't like the Beatles. I can't remember the last time I put on a Beatles record, actually. But I know they changed the world...

Might be fun to spin this thread around too...artists you like that everyone you know doesn't...
