Review: Martin 000-30 Authentic 1919
Here is a link to my extensive review of the new Martin 000-30 Authentic 1919
“The 000-30 A 1919 offers the kind of sound many luthiers and guitarists have sought to produce since the invention of steel strings.” Read All About It Here And the corresponding video View in 1080p hi-def for best sound |

I find the switchback between the two at the end very interesting and informative. Cool authentic no doubt.

Thanks. I had never tried that back and forth thing before. But the guitars were close enough that it works pretty well.
The video sometimes morphs, but the sound is switched almost instantly, and there is no switch at the last morph effect, that is the sonic swelling and receding of the Authentic. I just brought the image of the old timer in for visual effect. |

I've been waiting for this! That video Martin put out where all they did was talk about it was frustrating. Thanks Spoon.
How's the sweater doin?

The sweater is doing fine, if getting a little long in the threads and rather saggy and baggy. I may have to retire it from public life.
I think new trend at Martin to do the videos does whet the appetite but they prefer to leave the tone to the imagination, at least until dealers put their orders in at NAMM. |

Very nice playing. Normally I listen briefly, if at all, to this sort of demo clip, largely because of the sort of incessant yammering that so many of them feature. But I played your clip through twice, just to listen to your playing. Nice work.

Very nice sounding guitar! The last segment where you went back and forth with the old-timer was really cool, and it's amazing how similar they sounded. If I wasn't paying attention, I might have thought it was the same guitar playing.

Thanks all, and yes it has been a very good birthday weekend, ending with 18 year old Highland Park on Friday, and 18 year old Macallan on Saturday.
So Sunday is ending with some Sleepy Time herbal tea and an earlier bedtime. And Wade, that is high praise from one of discerning tastes. I reserve my yammering for my written reviews. |
