Smile Thanks Woody!!!

Mike, You, of all people, should know about JKs by now! Hahahaha

I spoke with John today, and he informs me that the neck carving is done. He is pretty confident that he will get everything ready to assemble before the box comes back from Tony, which should speed up the process!

Cindy and I just had a nice three day vacation in the Anza Borrego Desert, east of San Diego, but west of El Centro.

I took the smallest of John’s guitars I have, which is still a big boy but not as big as this one. It is Maple/Cedar. John calls the shape a Mitchell, after a local NC mountain. It is just about the size of a Taylor Grand Symphony, or a Gibson super Jumbo (SJ) with a 16.25” lower bout.

For the first time in a long time I played it a bunch quietly, with no thumb or finger picks. The sound was excellent and so warm and inviting. It will get LOUD too, and the tone remains fat at high acoustic volume.

These instruments are good at everything I have tried, and I try a LOT of variety.

Just saying’….

Cheers

Paul

Smile Clips….

Ah, the request for clips! Thanks Godfather

I expect I will ask John to have Al Pettiway give it a workout. He can do it justice and so can his home studio.

Perhaps this time he can give it a varied workout.

Play on gang.

Paul

Smile Thank you all.

Thanks all for the nice comments, and for checking this out!!!

As beautiful as it looks, I am sure it will sound even better. John has a huge supply of Luthier Pixie Dust, and he is liberal about applying it! Hahahahaha

Everyone play the good ones!

Paul
