1937 000-18 - *SOLD*

An awesome guitar, easy to play, literally the perfect neck shape with slight V but rounded as you get towards the nut. Light and airy, punchy, plays easy with perfect set-up. Selling only because I got an OM-18 1933 and I slightly prefer the longer scale for flatpicking. Here's the TR-Crandall listing where I bought the guitar, it was listed for 25K, and I bought it at *SOLD*. One note here - Crandall thinned the overspray, and aside from the faint line on the side of the guitar from where it was taped off, it's really really tough to tell it is there because he used a black light and took off overspray exactly where it was by hand over a long time. Comes with the same OG hardshell case.

1937 Martin 000-18 in excellent condition with a few signs of wear throughout the instrument. This guitar is all original save for an overspray on the body top, and has been given a professional refret as well as a few repaired cracks that can be seen in the photos. Constructed with an Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge. 1.78" nut width, .84" thickness at the first fret, 1.13" thickness at the twelfth fret, and weighs 3.86 lbs exactly and comes with the original hardshell case. Fine example of a late '30s prewar Triple 0 that rings strong, and is in such a lively state!

1953 D-18 - $9999 - Mystery Top

When I got this it was all original, but the bridge had been shaved. Last year I had the bridge replicated and the neck re-set and refret. Hide Glue was used. It's a beautiful guitar and has that slightly tapered, punchy and explosive sound. Due to the "mystery" adirondack or engleman top the sound is slightly less different than other vintage D's I've played from the era, and the top has that light golden hue as opposed to the pumpkin sitka look. This thing is in great shape, no cracks, some play wear throughout. Just a fabulous piece. Comes with 70's Martin hardshell case.

D-18 Authentic 2007 - *SOLD*

I may hold onto this if other stuff sells. It's one of my favorite dreads. I think 2007 is an amazing year for the authentics and this one is in 9/10 shape with very light playwear. No cracks, plays perfectly. I love it with Nickel Pearse strings and it has a lively, quick and full tone. I've heard these early authentics as having a little of that rosewood reverb, and I would agree with that.

Dudenbostel D - Brazilian/Adirondack - 2014 - Sunburst - $19,750

I got this in a trade somewhere around 2018. It lives up to the hype as I believe Lynn copies a 1937 D28 for these. It just has a mature and aged sound with a supreme amount of complexity. It in great shape save for slight playwear. I think there might be a minor repair in the brazilian but all I could find was a touch of pore filler used - this was per the previous owner. The burst on this thing is s site to behold, it glows! 1 and 3/4 Neck and 2 and 5/16 at saddle.

Pre-War 000-28 - Brazilian - Level 3 Top, Level 1 Back and Sides, Speed Neck - 1 and 3/4 // Vintage Neck $8,500

Got this brand new and waited the full few years for it. Just a wonderful feel tot he speed neck and it plays perfectly. I've amassed a number of pre-wars and have a Brazilian OM I'm keeping due to the same reasons as above, the OM just suits my style better.

Pre-War D-28 2021 - Level 1, Sunburst, Brazilian $9,500

Got this one new as well! What a piano, this thing has everything, sustain, openness, reverb when laid in to, direct overtones when played lightly. Going to miss it and may keep it if some of the other stuff here sells. Has a very minor split in the brazilian that developed in 2022, that you can't tell where it is and I couldn't picture it. The finish was touched up and you'd never know it was there. It was on the back upper bout. Aside from that in perfect level 1 condition.

Pre-War 0-18 "Ice-T-Burst." Level 2 - $4800

This is the modern 1 and 11/16 neck. And honestly I think I like the shape they do on these better than the full 1 and 3/4, it has that vintage D shape that's deeper than a modern neck and I love how it feels. This is an amazing sounding guitar that sounds way fuller than it has any right to. Only selling because I got a similar vintage 0-18 that I spend most of my time playing from the early 30's.

Zack, that’s a good one! Jim Brown is a great guy. I sent you a reply on UMGF. The reason I sold my 1933 was exactly why you bought yours. I’m a finger picker and my 1937 was much better at that, but not great with a pick. The 1933 was hard to play fingerstyle but was the weirdest guitar with a pick. It would just get louder and louder and louder. It could not break up and it was so loud! But it needed a strong right hand. The OMs of 1929/1930 were the more fingerstyle approved. Let’s make a deal and get that 1937 back in my music room!
