Very nice slope shoulder piece. Very pretty. Curious about how a J-45 style with a long scale sounds.

That’s certainly how he comes across in the interviews I’ve seen. Like this video and the Fretboard Journal article below.

I can hardly believe it, but I haven’t had GAS in a long time. But THIS guitar looks epic. Can’t say I’m not a little jealous. Congrats, Roy!! Looks great!!!

There's a photo of John during his days in the Gibson custom shop in the "Gibson's Fabulous Flat-Top Guitars" book. I sent him my copy to sign and he sent it back...with a guitar! You could do the same! The guitars are flawlessly crafted and very reasonably priced in the overall landscape of small builder instruments. He's mostly known for his Gibson-inspired models, but does also make an OM.

Makes me happy to know that this guitar went to a good home. All of the positive comments here are justified. I’ve had the privilege of owning 3 different Walker guitars and all were terrific. If only there were space and money to keep them all…

Enjoy it Roy. All the best to you!

I’ve been having regrets over not jumping on this when I had the chance. Very cool guitar.

He seems like a lovely guy, and that guitar of yours is a beautiful example of his skill.

Appreciate you, buddy! FYI: John told me today that there are now 17 of these in existence. So there’s one more unicorn on the loose.

He also said he’s “partially retiring”…so sounds like all of his guitars are about to become more rare.

Yep, and I’m delighted you bought it and love it. That sweet 000-15SM deserved a good home.

What a cool guitar, Roy! Congratulations!

I have a very nice Gibson Custom Shop AJ built by Ren Ferguson back in 2002. It's called a "Luthier's Choice", Adi/BRW. A very nice guitar, so I appreciate how you must be feeling with your new AJ.

Cool!

Very nice and major congrats! We've got a little place on 3 acres overlooking the Clark Fork River. It gets quite a bit bigger as it nears Idaho and empties into Lake Pend Oreille right near the Idaho town of Clark Fork.

In fact, we had the Friday prime rib dinner at the Cabinet Mountain Bar and Grill in Clark Fork just last night -- one of the only bar/restaurants around here for miles!
