I use Curt Mangan round wound monels on both my Waterloos, a WL-12Mh and a WL-14. They are very easy on my hands, sound fantastic, and last seemingly forever. What more could I ask for?

Are they much different than the Martin Monels? I'll have to give them a try!

Yes, the Mangan's, being round core wound, do feel and sound very different. I can't describe the differences between these and other monel strings, but there is something that makes them stand out. Try a set and decide for yourself, but do remember to tune to pitch before trimming them as with all round core strings.
