1981 Sergei de Jonge 7 string classical guitar $6500
1981 Sergei de Jonge 7 string classical, with a low B string.
Indian rosewood back and sides, bear claw sitka spruce top, mahogany neck, African ebony fingerboard. Recently set up by Alan Beardsell, a student of de Jonge. Excellent shape for its age, terrific resonance and sustain. Original owner was an old German immigrant who only drove it to church. Some finish cracking as expected for the age. Hardshell case, but it could stand a better one. $6500 More photos to come, once I resize the files. I emailed Sergei about the materials, and recieved the following: Hi Peter, The back and sides are Indian rosewood so you wouldn’t have to worry about CITES even if it was made at recent date. Top is sitka spruce, neck is mahogany and fingerboard is African ebony. I hope you’ll enjoy the guitar. Best Regards, Sergei Last edited by St1age; Yesterday at 08:16 PM. Reason: Pruce change |
