Default Super rare uke

A customer sent this to me ... it's a righty, of course -- unless you retune it. But thought I would share the photos of such a neat piece of Americana ... a very rare circa 1930 Gibson Poinsettia ukulele -- one of the holy grails for uke collectors. 83 years young. And it sounds great!

It is a rare one, I think the Venetian is the only one from Gibson that's rarer. While I love Gibson ukes and have 4 of 'em, these off the wall painted ones take a certain person to own them. Definitely a fairly well off collector judging by the asking prices of the ones I've seen. Nice find!

Absolutely fantastc !

Gibson has long been known by ukists as the best fingerboards/fretting available.

The paint work is extraordinary.. some new age uke painters could use this as a lesson.
