Yes, many times over...

...and he knew the work was unacceptable the first time he saw it.

Now a lot of people have seen it...no problem with this, of course (5783 views as of this minute).

well, 2 and a half days later and almost 6,000 views. Mods, I request that you just close this thread.

I would like to add some closing thoughts since I am the original poster.

first and foremost, i want to apologize if I have offended anyone. It was certainly not my point. And even though I don't feel as though I'm in the wrong, I certainly felt as though I was a victim in this case and although many were very very nice and kind, a few were not.

But I do feel as though closing this thread would be better for the community as a whole.

so what I have learned from my 2 and a half day thread:

- many people on AGF are very wonderful and supportive when something bad happens
- a few are skeptical but certainly understandable
- sometimes its not a great thing to be honest
- sometimes withholding facts to protect a name doesn't matter because people just want facts
- the word "sir" can really offend people, but to me, its a term of respect
- I might hear back from the luthier or I might not, but life goes on.....

again, sorry if I offended anyone. it certainly wan't the intent.

Yes, if any of those things were going to happen, we would have seen it by now, I'm sure.

For me, anyway, this thread is the guitar-forum equivalent of "reality tv."

Of course I know I don't have to watch...early on I was interested in getting more info. I've gotten the info, and IMO it's a pity to watch...but it's human nature, and so it will continue as long as the Mods let it...

I also got a hilariously funny piece of "hate mail" via the PM system...no surprises there...people often demonstrate their worst behavior behind closed doors.

No offense was taken, Eric with the posting of pictures, etc. I don't believe that it needed to go on as long as it did, but that's just my belief...others have differing opinions...as always.
