I use a Dremel with Inlay Bits (no load) on a Stew Mac Stand. Sorry yours did not go well.

Should have had a guitar builder do it....Im good at fixing things, but this was way out of my realm....holy jeepers batman...well, i did learn a lot from this, and what to do and what not to do...I used the wrong dremel...Later Kitchen, Solo

I don't like soundports but, as I said earlier, at the risk of repeating myself, they should only be done by a luthier or by a builder of a custom instrument while the instrument is being constructed. Soundports are not for everyone.

Correct....Dont do one if its got on thick laquer,, like mine has...And, yes...it should be part of the build process from the start...Solo
