Does the Eminor fit, and where do i go from here?

Good morning guys n girls of the world.

I have been playing with the chord progression and strum pattern from Good Riddance, Time of your life and ended up with the stuff in the video.

As my sound recording is not great, thiS is what it should be if you want to play along

My first question is, does the Eminor "fit"... I know musical taste is sbjective and all that, but would you say it fits in this chord progression? Mainly ask as i want to know if im on the right track so to speak?

I would also appreciate any suggestions of other songs that you think (from the video) i may be able to get on with?

The sound is out of sync with movement if viewed streaming, but nowt i can do about that at the moment.
