Åstrand Guitars - introduction and photos.
Hi!
Like many other builder's and player's I have been visiting the forum for a number of year's but never taken the opportunity to introduce myself or my work. I currently have my shop in Stockholm, Sweden where I spend my days building. Before opening my workshop I attended a 3 year full-time luthiery school in Sweden. I also spent 3 months in Phoenix working as an apprentice under Jason Kostal whom I know many of you are familiar with. I visited the Woodstock show in 2012 in company with Jason kostal and I know I met allot of people from the forum whilst I was there. Hopefully I can contribute to the forum in the future and I'm going to try to visit one of the mayor US guitar shows soon! I thought I would share some photos of my two latest build's, my OM-size model and parlor guitar. /Ted Åstrand www.astrandguitars.com |

Welcome to the forum, Ted.
Beautiful body shapes. Very good eye. I particularly like the abalone appointments on the OM. The 0 is particularly harmonious for such a small guitar. |

Wow, what a nice and warm welcome! Thanks everybody for the nice comments!
In the evenings while the dust is settling in the workshop the AGF is a great source of inspiration for me. Hopefully me or a costumer can post a future build thread, so you can examine my work more closely and get a better idea of how I build my guitars. I look forward to sharing more future work and hopefully I can chime in on different topics around the AGF. |
