Default Bodyrez question

I bought one of these and plugged in my guitar and amp, but it doesn't appear to work correctly, or maybe I'm doing something wrong? I've used plenty of pedals for electric so I'm not totally ignorant on it, but maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Cable from guitar to instrument in, cable from instrument out to amp. Turn amp on. If the pedal is OFF the guitar plays as normal through the amp. If the pedal is on, nothing gets through to the amp.

Ideas?

Yes, power is on and the light comes on. I just can't get any sound to play when it is on.

Is the indicator light flashing? If so, you're putting the pedal in mute mode by pressing the switch for too long (I did this more than once with mine). If this is the case, press and hold the switch again until the light goes solid red.

I'm pretty sure it's solid, but I'll check.

You aren’t going into the output and out the input by chance are you? This is a true bypass unit so it would probably work plugged in backwards when you are bypassing the effect.

Interesting tip about the holding down/flashing mute. I didn't know about that! But if you're hooked up correctly and the light is not flashing then you likely have a defective unit. Mine works very well and the more you turn it up the greater the effect. I have found it to really add to my overall sound. I love mine.

I recently bought a Mic Mechanic 2 from TC Helicon, this new version is 9 volt. When I first plugged in did the same thing. I went to GC to exchange it and while they look for the other one to exchange it I plugged into a Voodoo Labs ISO 5 on the 12V and it worked!, then I plugged in the 9V and it started working normally. I hope I am explaining my self since English is not my first language.
