Not knowing the series you liked too well, I'd suggest Fisk. You might like Lilyhammer or Beef. My best recommendation is Fleabag, but you'd have to subscribe to Amazon Video for a month to binge it (and other stuff).

I've just started the second series of The Responder on BBC with Martin Freeman(The Office UK, Sherlock, The Hobbit). The first series was excellent, so far the second appears to just as engrossing.

Over the last week, I got distracted from finishing 'Fallout' by binging 'Shardlake' and 'Renegade Nell'. Was a bit disappointed by the first - the lead comes off as a younger, slimmer, Sam Tarly, but unlike GoT, I see no reason why it should be rated 16+. Brother Cadfael Shardlake is not and his sidekick is a bit irritating, but I'll bear with it if they do a second series, as long as they do something about filming it a bit brighter lit. 'Renegade Nell', on the other hand was a good family friendly 12+years yarn which was surprisingly written by the creator of more adult fare in 'Happy Valley' and 'Gentleman Jack'. Adrian Lester hams it up well as the requisite baddie and Louisa Harland, has got what it takes to move on from 'Derry Girls' (which I also highly recommend).

I finally saw All of Us Strangers with Andrew Scott. Very, very good movie. Glad to be living in the Golden Era of Andrew Scott.

We just finished the nine seasons of Suits. Well worth the binge.

Sugar on Apple TV is excellent. Detective Noir style. He drives a stunning Corvette roadster (C2 1963-1967). There's a WTF twist in episode 6, though. It finishes up with episode 8 on 5/17.

What are you watching Volume II

This weekend I saw for the first time in many years the movie "Tombstone" with Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, and a great cast, including Powers Booth and Michael Biehn as Curly Bill and Johnny Ringo. I saw it a few times in the 90's, including in the theatre, and a watch party at a friends house, which was a great social occasion too. Mostly because everyone loved the movie.

As usual, I had forgotten more of the movie than I remembered, other than that I liked it lot. Well, it was even better than I remembered, especially having read up on Tombstone a bit over the years. There is little wasted footage, and the movie moves along a great pace. Considering at the time there were a lot of issues getting the movie made, I am even more impressed with it.

A happy footnote is that Dana Delany (as Josephine Marcus) sings one of my favorite folk songs, "Red River Valley", in the movie, which I had totally forgotten as being there.

Don
