For Sale: 1960's Harmony H162 X-Brace Conversion

Up for sale is a Harmony H162 full rebuild by Morris Rowell.

Morris has done over 160 rebuilds, he is a skilled craftsman and has really mastered the art of tuning these guitars to their full potential.

This particular H-162 is build #136 .Sounds and plays great with an excellent setup. Completely sound structurally. Lots of honest playwear on the top, why buy a reliced poser when when you can have the real deal?
1 3/4" at the nut. 2 1/4" spacing at the saddle. All other standard H-162 dimensions.
Really nice grain pattern on the Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard.
Beautiful solid mahogany back and sides.

Work done on this guitar:
-Back and all braces removed. New X-brace pattern on the top with new bridge plate. Reshaped back braces. Interior cleaned of all old glue.
-Neck reset and also reshaped to very comfortable shape.
-Fingerboard leveled and re-fretted. New side markers and dot inlays.
-Back, sides and entire neck sanded and refinished. Top was left with all the original mojo with cracks glued and cleated.
-New Grover open back tuners
-New rosewood bridge. Bone nut and saddle.
-Original tortoise binding in good shape.

Includes:
1. Journey undersaddle transducer pickup (similar to K&K) with volume control.

2. Cahaya Locking Hardshell Case

I absolutely love mine and can confidently say no one else out there is doing better Harmony conversions than Morris including Baxendale.

Looks like a good price for a conversion with those great tone woods. It is old enough have that vintage vibe. I have a Baxendale conversion which is my go-to player.
