Kevin Harvick is not 3 inches tall!
Actually he is 9 1/8th inches tall. After viewing the F1 race from Sochi and being subjected to the Kevin Harvick oil commercial (for the 150th time); where Dumbo asks him why are you 3 inches tall? I decided to check the vertical dimensions of oil containers. I measured the height of three plastic containers from three different oil brands, and they fall in a range of 9 1/16" to 9 3/16" inches.
My non scientific determination is that Kevin Harvick is actually 9 1/8" tall. End of story.

Should I add or subtract 1/16" of an inch.
I have been a professional photographer and video producer/director for 47 years and I understand perspective. That's why I said my non scientific determination is 9 1/8".

Or, since everything is distorted, that oil container might be 6 feet tall.

In one of the outtakes from the commercial the car owner asked Kevin if he could borrow $20 to buy some Mobil One and Kevin said, "Sorry, I'm a little short."

My intense scrutinization of the ad leads me to believe he's 14" tall, accounting for perspective and slight keystoning. Note the horizontal relationship of the top of the container to the tip of his nose. The container itself is 12 11/16" tall.
Is it the properties of the synthetic oil that will allow this thread to keep running indefinitely?
