Nice Lead Line Info on the Web?
Where do you go to find interesting lead formations. I am playing out of a few and am getting a little tired of them. Anything creative out there on the web?

Have you tried Mick Goodricks book The Advancing Guitarist?
Good stuff even though it isn't web stuff. Lisa

Bwana Trees,
A simple one word reply????!!!!! How about suggesting ear training as a method for getting out of the rut? |

My ear is great. I can learn a melody/lead line off of a CD, note for note (provided it is not crazy hard) pretty quickly. I also have a good theory background. I just want to bring all of that together into some patterns and phrasing to open up my playing a little.

the reason I asked...
CPP Media has two instructional book/cd's that you might be interested in that both feature Albert Lee... Advanced Country Guitar and Virtuoso Techniques I DO NOT have these books... but I do have a couple of Robben Ford book/cd's and a John Scofield book/cd that all come from this same series and I like the layout of those a lot....I'm assuming the Albert Lee books would have the same basic layout... (just an aside...the Robben Ford books are blues oriented and would be good for anyone who wants to solo in any style....the John Scofield book IS NOT for everyone - very dissonant sounding jazzy stuff - kind of 'out there') I wouldn't waste time poking around the internet trying to scrounge things up....the best players in the world offer great instructional materials....why waste time with chumps?

I consider my electric work more twang-rock than country. I am along the lines of the Gin Blossoms, Steve Earle, Blue Rodeo, The Jayhawks, The Wallflowers, etc.
BUTTTTT... I am also working on a lot of delay oriented stuff A/K/A The Edge style. AND We are doing some Reggae/Ska versions of some praise standards to liven things up a bit. SO Almost anything I guess.
