Default Who is on your "list"

Just for fun---Who is on YOUR “list”? Here is mine but it’s likely more than a lifetime’s endeavor.

(Alphabetically)

Bruce Sexauer
David Wren
Joel Stehr
John Kinnaird
Kathy Wingert
Mark Hatcher
Tim McNight

I’m also watching the Leo Buenida build here.

Kim Walker and Somogyi only excluded for cost (for now)

The only other electric I want is a custom by Gene Liberty.

(PS - Mods, I put this here because all of these Luthiers are discussed here instead of general)

Brian, evil alter ego of Bruce. Builds reentrant tuning paper-mache steel string tiples.

All kidding aside, my list is:

LeGeyt (active, due sometime late 2016)
Slobod (active, due sometime 2017)

There are about fifty others that I intermittently dream of, but that'll have to do for now.

Bruce, sorry for the initial typo.

At 49 (tomorrow), one wonders how much time there is for gluttony. It's like the song from Smoky and the Bandit (J Reed??)

"East bound and down, Loaded up and trucking,
We're gonna do what they say cant be done....
We got a long way to go, and a short time to get there
Drop that hammer, run now bandit, run"

Mine is short:

1) My best
2) Jason Kostal
3) Simon Fay

As a recreational builder, I love the constant pursuit of making my personal best. And as someone with a deep appreciation for both Simon and Jason, I'd love to have one of their instruments someday as well.

What is wrong with you people...I remember making lists and they went something more along these lines:

1) Heidi Klum
2) Christie Brinkley (yes, still!!!)
3) Elle McPherson
4) Julie Bowen

Etc.

hahaha

I would say just about anything by Mike Baranik, Howard Klepper, or John Slobod would be on my list.

My list is short but sweet: McKnight with headstock art by Jimmi Wingert. i know of at least three examples out there. I have an idea in my head but sadly no capital. I did the math and in order to make it happen by my 50th birthday I have to embezzle $50 a week from the family coffers. That's two trips to McDonalds a week for my family. There could be a revolt!

Something like this was my initial thought also. Guess our minds just aren't in the "guitar gutter".

Oh Tom, you and your blondes...maybe add brunette Alessandra Ambrosio to the list just to add a little color to the mix??

Truth is, I don't have a builders list at the moment as I'm too caught up in the two new "rides" I currently have or will have soon. BUT...If I had to add a couple that I wouldn't mind having chatting with about my next build...after the Kinnaird brothers, it would be Simon Fay, Jason Kostal, Joel Stehr, and Joel Michaud is certainly getting my attention.

Hmmm, beautiful women aside...

- Steve Sheriff/Edwinson
- Mark Hatcher
- J/S Kinnaird (there's a tough choice!!)
- Tom Doerr
- Bill Wise/Charis
- Another Stehr

All I need s about $40K - $50K of disposable income. Do my daughters really need college? Can't they elope?

@Mikealpine just figure the cost of the guitar into the weddings and use it to play a special song. What is and extra 8-15K on a wedding bill when the average cost of a wedding is slightly less than it costs to travel to the moon.

Ugh... What happened to the days of a simple wedding, family pot luck, and a huge party in a barn after with horse troughs full of beer and whiskey?

My first thought was "what kinda guitars do they make? so I googled them ..all of them....they all look exactly the same to me....couldn't find any guitars.
