Reverend Guitars
Interested in some AGF reviews of Reverend guitars regarding quality; build, feel, pickups, etc.
Owners? Experiences? I have never played any Reverends, but I am very intrigued by the AirWave 12 String. |

Reverend guitars are outstanding.
I’ve owned two, including a model called the Double Agent, which has a p90 and a bucker. Fantastic. The Eastsider and Charger are great as well (think Tele and LP). The necks are like butter, the tuners and electronics are top notch, and the quality control fantastic.

I decided to order a Reverend Airwave 12 String in Midnight Black through my local dealer. https://reverendguitars.com/guitars/airwave-12-string/ ETA 6 weeks. I plan to use it through my Fender Custom Pro Reverb in a classic rock band. My Tele Thinline w/ P90s sounds awesome through the same amp so I'm really looking forward to add a 12-string sound. |

That guitar looks awesome. I bet you play some Byrds stuff?
What finish you get?

I have an '06 Slingshot. This was the last year before sending production to Korea. Wonderful guitar.
Kind of a funny story about ordering it. My wife loves anything tropical. I was on the Reverend site looking at the different models when she walked in. They were offering at the time, a Hawaiian brushed metal finish, complete with palm trees. My wife saw it and said "oh that's pretty, you should get one". I'm like, "well ok honey, if that's what you want". It's actually a very cool looking guitar. I got the Bigsby also. It's one of only three Hawaiian brushed metal finishes in the Lake Superior Blue color, according to this site: https://www.revfan.com/reverend-guitars.html

I own two, a Jetstream 390 and OG Double Agent. These are the least expensive guitars I own and you know what? they are also my two favorites that see the most playing time.

I have owned two Reverend guitars. I thought they were both very nice guitars!

I think their Pete Anderson tele models - really all iterations - are as nice a production telecaster style guitar as you can get for your money. I don't like their neck profile, however, but I'm really picky and want giant baseball bats or boat hulls on everything, so that's insignificant to most. They are gorgeous instruments, fit and finish is that of something 2-3x cost in the ones I've owned. Really great values.

I have had a Sensei Jr. and currently have a Contender 290. They are well put-together guitars with good quality components, excellent attention to detail on the fit and finish (the frets are perfect), and a bass contour control that works far better than any tone knob on any guitar I've ever had. For me they are guitars I would be comfortable gigging and not feel undergunned without having to risk my pricier electrics.

Had a Jetstream 390 as well. It was a really great guitar. No hesitation with Reverend for me.
