Default Vocal and guitar all in one ?

I posted this in another thread but I felt it needed its own home [emoji16]

I'm looking for a easy one stop solution for vocal and guitar, seems like there is only 3 units the TC Play Acoustic, the VE-8 and the TC Perform VG, any others I'm missing?

I want to run it into a Headrush 108 , and that's it... 4 pieces of gear counting the pole stand and mic stand

A nice little mixer that could help is the Yamaha MG06X. At one place I used to gig, I'd DI into the FOH system in with that on one channel. Nice setup that allowed me to set my mix (in part). The delay in the mixer really fattens up the vocal and helps give a fuller tone.

I was looking at the mackie pro6 or something for $149 it has all the effects built in and good preamps as one of my ideas

I like the added flexibility of that kind of setup. Plus you get your own iem mix if you want.

The TC Play Acoustic is a nice unit. Not nearly as complex as the VL3, but the vocal effects are great. I bought one when it came out and used it a number times. I know others who giged it extensively. It's sort of no frills compared to new technology, but it works and is built well. It's essentially a purpose built 2 channel mixer with every effect you could want for voice and acoustic and it's in pedal form.

Yes, the Play Acoustic is very good for what it does - if only it gave full mixer capability - gain and EQ, specifically.

Keep in mind the the Boss VE-8 has a 20M impedance input. It made my K&K Mini sound extremely muddy. Had to return it.

I think they offer analog gain on the mic and digital gain for the guitar. I used both when I had the device. And there is a full parametric EQ in there. It's just hidden a little.

VL3 was my main live vocal processor for several years. Very good tone but hellishly complex and to get it dialled in correctly took quite a long time, lots of trial and error etc.

Play Acoustic is a very good unit-TC are making some excellent kit. If I had to pick now, based on my use of Sunrise (mostly) pickups and my excellent experience with the Boss AD-10 over the last couple of years, I’d go for the VE-8. Input impedance is non-optimal for K&K though, so you may have to do as I do with my AD-10 for the occasional outings my K&K powered guitars get, and run a Pure Preamp in front of it.

There is no perfect solution, just decent ones.

..a single JBL Eon 610 is an affordable solution...I have a pair but would have no problem using just the one...

While this is interesting...Thinking I could use it as a monitor using the out to my FRFR but looking at the price I could just buy a acoustic amp ..like a Artist for a few bucks more

But I do appreciate the idea...

Since I already have a FRFR Speaker.. I was hoping to find something that is simple fix...
I guess an amp would be the simplest since there doesn't seem to be much on the market for all in one, just the three I mentioned
I liked the idea of the VE-8 before I found out you need to go into menus for any EQ'ing and we all know different places need different EQ settings So I'm shying away from the VE-8 a little and the TC Play Acoustic I did try it a year or so ago and it wasn't much fun...
I'd like to find something that makes the vocals sound good..Reverb and makes the guitar sound good...Thats it...No harmony..no looping...nothing fancy
Just plug and play and knobs for adjustments

Maybe a Good Mixer w/FX...Good Mic and my FRFR and be done with it
What happened to simple?
