Default Using Acoustic Preamp with Electric Guitar/Amp

My brother and I tried playing his electric guitar (Anderson Atom) into my DTAR Solstice (a preamp primarily used for acoustic guitars), through his effect pedals, then into a Vox AC30 for a few minutes.

We noticed a big difference in tone and clarity. Is it safe to use an acoustic preamp like the DTAR Solstice for electric guitar? The pedals and amp are usually used with his guitar with passive pickups, but we're concerned the extra output power from the DTAR may damage something.

Is it something I should be concerned about?
