Default Asturias Custom or Standard anyone?

Wondering if anyone has hands on experience with either of these models. Thinking about buying myself a retirement gift.

I had a Custom-S in the early 90s. It was very well made, had a good setup as delivered, and medium-tension strings worked well on it. It had a thin PU finish throughout.

Thanks - tonally did it tend toward the bright end of the spectrum?

Yes, the one I chose did, a little bit. I was able to choose from a few of the same model,
and if I were to do it again, I'd go with another one I tried (same model) that had a fuller bass. It's so tough to talk usefully about sound..

I agree - I just like good string separation and it typically goes hand in hand with a little brighter guitar. I gleaned from some of the videos I saw that it tended that way.
Thanks!

The ones I tried (all Custom-S, as I recall) all had good clarity and string separation, to my ears. Good luck with the search!
