I find any good quality string will do... I would try a few brands and see what you think, maybe even try some funky mixes of weights depending what your going for. I found my omc intoxicatingly sweet in a good way, and not real picky. On the other hand,it lacked volume both in bass and trebles I found, and I sold it. Currently I'm seeking another lol. It was Sitka/rosewood.

To clarify, I'm seeking another bourgois om!

They are great guitars. Have many of them come through my lab for optimization and they all leave with EXP strings which are Dana's recommendation. The light ones for the OMC. Sometimes they do take a while to open up but they are worth the wait.

I like Octacore, John Pearse and Newtone on mine. All sound great.
