John Page Classic
Quick plug: they've since moved production back stateside and prices have risen accordingly, but the first generation of Japanese production John Page Classic guitars are killer and a tremendous value if you're after things Fenderish.
As deeply frustrated as I've been with the acoustic side of the house, it occurred to me this weekend that I don't even think about the electric anymore. I wouldn't mind an additional flavor, but the Ashburn (his Strat style) is quiet, resonant, toneful, and pleasant to look at. More to the point, I'm uncomplicatedly happy playing it. |
