Now, that's exciting! Can't wait to get real-world reports and comparisons to Anthem. Also, wonder if mic/crossover will be available for those who already have Hi-Fi.

At any rate, I appreciate Baggs' musical and innovative approach, as well as Lloyd's enthusiasm.

Well dang! I just had an Anthem installed in a Guild M-20. I hope this new system is just terrible. 😊

Interesting. Sounds good, don't know if it's a world-changer and I'm spoiled by my Tonedexter.

I'm handicapped in my assessment--as much as you can judge things online--by not liking the natural tone of that guitar, at least as represented by the Neumann they're using.

Does anyone know what model mixer they're using? It appears in a few places, like starting around at 1:14 and 4:19.

That's pretty impressive! I did not see this coming. I mean I know we chatted about a HiFi/Lyric set up but this new mic looks interesting. You have to give Baggs credit, they have released two pretty great system in a short amount of time. Just think how many years go by where we don't see anything new.

My only slight issue is that it has the trademark Baggs HiFi tone. I know that's an odd word choice as it's literally called the HiFi, I just mean that they tend to have a bright tonality that can be a bit too much. Also, Lloyd does mention at the end of the video that a microphone won't work for all venues but it's great for recording or a small venue. That to me makes it sound as though this system will feedback easily.

It's very mic-like but it's very bright.

I think it sounds closer to the Lyric with an extra bite than to the Anthem.

Don't forget that LIVE people like the larger than life bass of the UST...

I'd like an A/B comparison with the Anthem. Anthem will be less mic-like but might be more usable.

I liked it. I will likely order one for my HD-28. If it works, I'll sell my Taylor, and maybe some others.

I thought it was very bright when listening on my iphone but once I got home and listened on good speakers, I actually quite liked the tone. Having said that, I don't believe there's a tone control on the sound hole controls so that could be problematic.

I do wonder if this new mic design is as feedback resistant as the Lyric? If so, I am sold. The Lyric never gave me issues, even on a loud stage. It does appear as though a full blend of HiFi is similar to the Anthem in that the Element carries all of the frequencies. Once the mic is blended in, the crossover starts. I do wish they would allow the user to not have that crossover approach. It would be neat to use mostly mic and just add in some HiFi for bass.

The still at the 0.24 second mark shows a pretty large sound hole controller. That might problematic in some guitars. I know I'm interested in trying it in my Emerald X7. Hope it fits. Looking forward to some actually details about that and when it will be available and for how much.

Sounds great, I wonder which is better - this HiFi Duet system or Cole Clark's that you can buy and install in any guitar.

I saw that on the website. Summer 2024 is like an ETERNITY in AGF time. :-)

The IMix was actually a very good system, but I would be a bit disappointed by that annoucement.
I have the iMix (Element/iBeam) in 5 guitars. It is a wonderful system and successfully ended my seemingly never ending purchases of "the next great thing" pickups. I finally noticed that all these "next great things" were always accompanied with the oft repeated pickup maker's mantra (lie): "Your guitar, only louder". I have a drawer full of those "next big things"...as I'm sure many do here as well.

PS. The iMix doesn't sound like "my" guitar, but it sounds like an acoustic guitar, which is remarkable.

Same. I was going to potentially rig up my K&K to integrate w/ an anthem, but this would be much easier. Bob Minner is a great player - glad he was able to demo this.
