Default "mysterious" guitar on the bay

saw this and thought it looked familiar, but I can hardly remember my name, so this brand just didn't come to me. Anybody know? The seller calls it the mysterious "M" guitar.

Default I'm amazed....

94 people have looked at this and no one has had a suggestion? It really is a mysterious guitar.

What is it?

Could be an old Morgan the diamond and the "M" are similar script, or a knock off?

This may help identify it.

I've seen this one or another with the same M over a year ago and looked for info on it but gave up. Way to mysterious for me at $1899.

Looks like a private luthier make with a Guild inspired bridge, classical style fret board run-off and rosette, and a multipiece neck. Price is risky for a guitar with no providence.

for some light reading scroll through this list:

Yes, the price seems a bit of a joke.

The thing looks like it has been abused, whoever made it. I can detect at least one crack and (I think) seperation of the back just under the heel from the pics. Maybe $500, if one needed a project ... and was in a gamblin mood.

we share opinions on this: the seller is saying here is a guitar---don't know what it is, so it's got to be worth $1900...
Many mysterys!

It's somebody's handbuilt guitar, worth well under a thousand dollars.

There are plenty of people who take a stab at becoming guitarbuilders, complete three or four instruments, then abandon the effort. There are also plenty of graduates of luthiery schools (including one in Redwing, Minnesota) who build guitars as part of their grade and then, again, go no further.

I wouldn't fool with it, myself. The workmanship on the photo you posted doesn't look especially clean.
