Default Martin 000-42 Authentic 1939 Video

Another beauty to behold and beheard for those with the good fortunate to own one.

“It is an emotionally expressive instrument that naturally inspires nice bluesy string bends, and even subtle little waggles of a fretting finger translate into evocative alterations in the tone of each note, which then spawn echoes that radiate within and without the lively 000 body with its scallop-braced VTS top.”

Played it at NAMM of course, but I can hardly wait to get my hands on them when they arrive in June. So far, this is my favorite Authentic.

Definitely the most desirable Authentic so far IMHO.

At $15K MSRP, here's hoping the models that ship have better looking tonewoods than the model that's been featured so far.

Ted, does the neck profile and string spacing of the 000-42A feel anything like the neck of the D-18 Authentic 1939 ?

Not to me, Brendan, but keep in mind that even if the necks are identical on paper, the different body shape and size will mean the same neck will feel different on the two guitars. One thing I can tell you is that I was not prepared to like the 1-11/16" nut width on this guitar, but in fact I did. So much so that I'm actually gassing for one of these.
