LR Baggs M80 w/ Fishman Loudbox
Is anyone using an LR Baggs M80 soundhole pickup into a Fishman Loudbox ? Are you happy with the results ?

I've used my M80 with a Loudbox Mini as the main audio source, and as my monitor (with the XLR out to the board), and I've been quite happy with both setups. I go into a Fishman DI (either the Platinum Pro or the Aura Spectrum) and then into the amp. Works great.

Yo JBA,
I use the M80 in my D18 and plug straight into either Fishman Loudbox Artist or Performer depending on venue, however, I recently added the Boss AD-2 to the signal and it tweaks the pickups midrange nicely, very natural & feedback resistant...straight in still sounds good, use the anti-feedback to dial in help with the mid-cut at about 4 o'clock as well as setting the midrange knob to about 8 o'clock. Here's a live clip soundcheck at a gig plugged straight into a Loudbox Performer recorded with just a Canon camera: Here's a live clip at home plugged straight into a Loudbox Artist, same Canon camera: Here's a 3rd live clip using the M80 in a Goodall (recently sold) into a Loudbox Performer demonstrating the percussive character of the M80: I don't have any clips with the addition of the AD-2 yet...but take a listen with earbudz, I think the M80 sounds very natural; these clips are very accurate as to the tone with my D18 imo. Best wishes, eric
