I ordered a set from juststrings.com along with some Elixirs.

I'm intrigued by these strings, but not sure if I should try light or medium. I usually play GHS light 12-54.

OP here.

I can’t speak to the lights but the Mediums truly feel Iike others’ light gauge sets (unlike the medium Sunbeams thread you may have read). These are pretty flexible. I would think the wound strings of the light set would feel too much like extra light and that is why I went with the medium set for a short scale guitar.

Get the Mediums. My experience with the Lights was that they were too "light"

PS. While I like the "feel" of these strings, they are, on my guitars, brighter than I like (compared to D'addario EJ16's, both are Phosphor Bronze)

I was going to start a new thread on these strings but found this one via the search feature. I also tune down a full step and recently tried these strings. I love them! They feel a lot slinkier and easier to play than average mediums, which I’ve used for years. They lasted me about three months with pretty regular use and a lot of aggressive bends. They held tune well too. I had some EB Earthwoods in the case and replaced the GHS with them. I instantly missed not only the feel of the GHS strings, but also the woodier and drier tone I was getting with them. With the EBs I seem to hear the zing of the bronze strings, but with the GHS I seem to hear more of the wood of my guitar. YMMV.
