Hi Larry,

Thank you so much for watching and taking time to comment here! Much appreciated!

I am a bit of a James Taylor aficionado, so I probably assume that everyone knows this song as well as I do. I remember hearing JT and his band play this song live at Tanglewood in Massachusetts on July 4th, I think in 2015, and it was terrific. He always has such great background vocalists.

Thanks for your kind encouragement! I am doing great! I hope you are, too!

- Glenn

Thank you Started!

Yes, in the key of E, where it was played on the electric guitar and bass, it has a G#m in there. It's a very nice transition where the song goes from F#m to G#m to C#m when played in the key of E. With the capo on the 2nd fret, it's going from Em to F#m to Bm then to Bm with an A bass.

By using a couple of guitars and playing them in different keys, I had to learn the accompaniment for the song twice! I must say, playing it in D with the capo on the 2nd fret feels so much more natural to me.

I hope you and your family are doing well! Enjoy the autumn in New York!

Hi Glenn!
How did I miss this one when you first posted it???
Glad I plugged in today and heard this....wonderful job.....tight harmonies and this song with capo is really in your sweet spot for your vocal range. Just great overall and such a fine job of producing this classic.
All the best,
Fred

Thank you Fred!

How nice of you! I appreciate your kind words of encouragement!

Regarding vocal range, James Taylor and I are both baritones, so I can pretty much always comfortably sing where JT sings. It's very convenient.

Handy Man was a fun project to take on, though I realize that an awful lot of people here on the AGF just want to hear a guitar and maybe a voice, and nothing else.

I hope all is well for you and your family, Fred!

Take care!

- Glenn
