Hi all,

I bought this wonderful microphone for a home studio recording setup almost three years ago. It is a fantastic mic — I've owned a few different Soyuz products and have loved them all.

I used it to record an album of original instrumental guitar songs. It was used as the center mic alongside a matched pair of Gefell M300s. Here's one song from the record. (Note: It is also AMAZING for vocals.)



Long story short of why I'm selling: not long after finishing the record, I had a baby who is now a toddler, and my home studio isn't a place I visit that often. I imagine some can relate! A few weekends ago, I got the mic out and carelessly overtightened the screw on the shock mount. I couldn't unjam it, and the screw ended up breaking.

My 2-year warranty through Sweetwater is up, so I'd have to pay $200 to replace the shock mount. Since I'm not using this mic very often, I decided to sell rather than reinvest.

Now for the deets! I'm asking for SOLD plus shipping. You would need to buy a shock mount through Soyuz ($200), so your total cost would be $1600 plus combined shipping. I think that's a good deal for a mic that retails for $2300 - $2500 plus tax. The mic is in excellent+++ condition. The box has a few cosmetic marks, but that's all regarding blemishes.

Note for the OP or anyone else considering this, my very favorite shockmount, the Rycote InVision USM-VB, should fit this mic great, and sells for about $90.

So you could be in business even cheaper than expected if you don’t need the Soyuz mount.

The Rycote Invision mounts are excellent and I prefer them over factory shockmounts.
