Emma, my grand daughter, is singing this song with my guitar accompaniment. Thank you Emma!

The guitar arrangement is my own based on transposed chords from the original key of Eb, which I found in a rather ancient jazz fake book I inherited from my mother-in-law. I am playing this in C with a capo on the first fret (C#). For reference, I believe that Judy Garland sang this in C for "The Wizard of Oz."

Thank you for listening!

Hey Glenn,

Thanks so much for sharing this. Great to see you playing with family, and Emma's voice is beautiful. I was truly enjoying the arrangement, perfectly simple, before I saw your note that it was your own. Well done!

And I have to note that I hear your voice in Emma's. Must be all that singing in her/your extended family.

Cheers,

-Dave

Hi Dave!

Thank you for taking time to watch this! I'm glad you enjoyed this, and I appreciate your comments!

It's interesting that you hear some of my vocal characteristics in Emma's voice. What I hear in Emma is that when she sings high, she sounds very similar to my middle daughter, who is also a fairly accomplished soprano. When Emma sings in lower registers, I hear color in her voice that reminds me of her mother, who has a wonderful mezzo soprano voice. Emma's mom also has huge vocal power so that she can sing out over the top of an orchestra with no amplification, and Emma also is gaining some of that power, too. It will be fascinating to see what Emma does with all her ability.

I hope all is well for you Dave! Thanks so much for stopping by!

- Glenn

Thank you Chuck!

That's very nice of you. But Emma's singing is in a whole different class from where I sing. I'm just glad that Emma is enjoying singing and was able to spend a little time singing with me.

Thanks so much, Chuck, for taking time to watch and comment! I hope all is well for you!
