That sure looks like something out of Kevin Ryan's shop.

I really like those Stauffer Martins from the 19th Century. Especially the rosettes...

Yeah, Lowden does it for me too. What I like is the clean fingerboard and the wooden binding and purfling. If I wanted a bit of bling it would be a marquetry soundhole. I like this one;

The Martin 42 and 45 do it for me. I own a lovely D42 which I prefer visually over the 45 because of the neck inlays on the 42.

Default Yamaha FG300

Old School here--I'm with you on JD's double pick-guard Guild and some of the pearly Yamahas he played over the years. In addition, it's hard to beat this one in my mind as it is the one that my neighbor played around a campfire in Colorado and made me fall in love with the guitar.

It also looks like some Charis guitars as well... so many builders are doing bevels and sound ports now... my first instinct was Ryan, but very well may be wrong.

I've always loved the all wood appointments on the current Taylor Koa Series:

I'm another one that likes the subtle look so McIroys, Lowdens, Avalons and similar. All about the wood and the way it is fashioned...

Headstock perfection! Love my Tom Doerr legacy headstock with its bevels and shape. Cocobolo with ebony trim.

Hard to argue with a Lloyd Loar L5...simple, elegant...perfect.

I also think there's a real charm in a dusty old Selmer-Maccaferri, a D-18, or a Hauser-styled classical.

On the shiny blingy side, A Taylor k14ce in edgeburst...man oh man is that gorgeous.
