The guitar is a looker. Schweeet!
Congrats on the extended go bar. And is that a Bastogne back and side there in the background? That stuff makes me weak in the knees.

Yes, that's a Bastogne set alright. I have a Josie small jumbo Bastogne guitar starting up in September. We're working out the wood combinations and I find it helpful if I leave the set out and live with it to help keep the ideas flowing. Mark

Pulling the body together
Here I and gluing on the neck and heel blocks on this BRW Josie small jumbo.
I have taken to using Black Walnut for the heal block which has a little more weight than my typical mahogany. This helps with balancing the weight of the guitar and a little more weight back there helps increase overall sustain. So it's a winner on several fronts: Thank-you for viewing! Mark

I'm getting pretty well all caught up in the shop which has given me the opportunity to start finishing up the Cedar/Koa Penelope nylon crossover that I started a while ago. I should have this one ready for sale in about 2 weeks: Thanks for viewing! Mark

The BRW looks so rich. I'll bet it sounds the same. Have you decided on the binding/purfling scheme on this one yet?
I think your crossover is one of the most unique in the industry. Having acquired one, I know how awesome they sound in addition to the awesome looks. And this one has the Cedar from your stash that I love so much. I hope you find a suitable home for this one. They are gonna' love it!

The BRW Josie is getting black ebony binding. The fretboard, headplate, and bridge are going to be Brazilian. The cedar top is getting abalone purfling. This guitar will fall right between the all wood Bloodwood trimmed Josie and the abalone everywhere Josie. A bling poll would be interesting. I find us folks here on AGF say we like all natural wood guitars more often but, abalone guitars get more hits. Go figure! I'm glad your crossover is working well for you. That dark cedar really does sing. It was taken from standing old growth deadwood which is why it is so dark and streaked. I got one to try and when I heard it I immediately ordered more for stock. Mark, I am just impressed by the fine quality of materials used on all
your guitars right down to the fingerboards. And your wonderful photography just shows off the instruments and the materials in such a representative manner. Thanks for sharing these builds with us
